Deepti Vohra, the Founder of Synapse Partners, is a seasoned lawyer registered with Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa and is an associate member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. With over two decades of professional experience, she has established herself as a trusted advisor in corporate commercial matters and legal consultancy services for a diverse range of clients, including large Indian and multinational corporations, start-ups, PE/VC funds and family offices.
Amongst other things, she has had the opportunity to advise funds & family offices make investments as well as negotiate exits; hand-held start-ups through successive rounds of capital raisings (equity & debt); helped founders’ negotiate their contracts with institutional investors; structured various strategic & business partnerships on behalf of her clients; and helped clients negotiate numerous types of commercial contracts along the way.
Deepti’s career includes notable positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers, India, and Khaitan & Co. At PwC, she spearheaded the Compliance Group within the Internal Audit Practice, while her tenure at Khaitan & Co. involved handling assignments related to capital markets and corporate law.
Her areas of expertise encompass a broad spectrum, including proficient legal negotiations and meticulous documentation. She excels in providing comprehensive corporate law advisory services, with an in-depth understanding of capital markets, secretarial compliance, and labour and industrial laws.
Vanya P. Kumar graduated from Amity Law School, affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in the year 2011 and has been enrolled with the Bar Council of India and the Delhi High Court Bar Association ever since.
Previously, she was part of the corporate team at Vaish Associates Advocates in Delhi. She also had the privilege of receiving training under the guidance of Hon’ble Justice D. R. Deshmukh, the former Chairman of the Company Law Board.
Her expertise lies in providing comprehensive legal advice to corporates. Her expertise spans diverse areas, including drafting and reviewing a wide range of commercial contracts, offering corporate law opinions, providing litigation advisory services, and handling associated legal matters.
Sakshi Goyal completed her LL.B from ILS, Pune in 2017, followed by a master’s in business law from NLSIU, Bangalore. Currently, Sakshi is pursuing her Ph.D in Competition Law. Previously, she has worked with law firm specialised in handling international and domestic transactions across India. Sakshi also enjoyed in-house experience with Hindustan Unilever Ltd. in Mumbai and has served as a Professor of law with Nirma University, Ahmedabad.
Sakshi’s expertise lies in contract and corporate laws, with a special focus on private equity and venture capital investments, funding, and corporate advisory.
Jyothirmayee Adury graduated from Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad and subsequently, completed her LL.M. in Corporate and Financial Law and Policy from Jindal Global Law School. Jyothirmayee was previously working with the general corporate team at Wadia Ghandy & Co. in Mumbai. She has experience in general corporate advisory, drafting of legal opinions and in drafting and vetting of various legal documents including shareholders’ agreement, investment agreement, and share purchase agreements.
Nidhi Jha completed her LL.B. from the University of Delhi in 2022. She has previously worked with Yash Raj Films, as part of the legal team within the Talent Department, and with Schbang Digital Solutions Private Limited as a Legal Executive.
Nidhi’s expertise lies in copyright law, particularly in relation to the media and entertainment sector. She has experience in contractual advisory, spanning a wide range of commercial transactions including service agreements, technology-based agreements, brand partnerships, and talent management contracts. Nidhi brings a focused and practical approach to addressing legal issues at the intersection of law, media, and technology.
